Gold Rush was founded in 1983 by Olmstead Productions. The 49ers cheerleaders were named the Gold Rush to commemorate the excitement that brought millions of people to California in search of gold. They have performed across the United States and many other countries. Millions of people around the world have enjoyed their high-energy dance style. The Gold Rush performs jazz dances, traditional pom routines and funky dances like those performed by M.C. Hammer and former Gold Rush choreographer, Paula Abdul. As a part of their show troupe, they exhibit many various talents, such as tap dancing, singing, twirling, rhythmic gymnastics and lyrical jazz.
